Deacon delivered construction services for two new shell and core retail buildings at The Village at Tacoma Mall, a 26,000 sf outdoor development in Pierce County. Opened in Fall 2025, the single-story, steel-structured buildings pair fresh dining and retail with inviting outdoor patios. Featuring Shake Shack, Dave's Hot Chicken, Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Supreme Dumplings, Simply Thai, Gong Cha, and Lovesac, the project also included new landscaping, hardscapes, and upgraded utility infrastructure.

Deacon continued its work at The Village through separate tenant improvement contracts, completing a new 3,800 sf Shake Shack—the brand’s first location in Pierce County—and a 2,700 sf Dave’s Hot Chicken. Both projects included full restaurant build-outs with commercial kitchens, high-end finishes, and complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
